Own a Piece of Racing History

With hundreds of classic racing cars and a team of celebrities, the Silverstone Classic will celebrate 60 years of the Formula One World Championship with cars from the F1 grids of the 50s, 60s and 70s, racing on the historic GP circuit this weekend.

For the first year, fifteen identical Abarth 500s will be fitted with the Esseesse tuning kits, Monza exhausts to reach top speeds of 215km/h and race in the ‘Abarth 500 Celebrity Challenge’. To ensure maximum safety each Abarth 500 will also be fitted with bolt-in safety cages, race harnesses and fire extinguishers.

A host of celebrities from the world of television, radio, music and sport will be taking part in this one- off event including Olympic Gold medallists Dame Kelly Holmes and Darren Campbell, TV presenters and renowned chefs James Martin and Heston Blumenthal and rock artist Rick Parfitt Jnr to name a few.

Afterwards, each car will be issued with a certificate of authenticity, autographed by the celebrity and a photograph taken of them with the car, the Abarth 500 will then be offered for sale at Arnold Clark Abarth in Glasgow.

The car will remain fitted with all safety and race equipment and is a chance to own a piece of racing history.
