Louise has worked for Sir Arnold for the last 7 years. She started with the company as a Direct Marketing Assistant where she was responsible for the direct mail function of the marketing process; cleansing data and organising mail drops with the Royal Mail. After a short six months she was promoted to the position of Marketing Executive where she stayed for the next 3 years. Louise said, "The Marketing Executive role was great, each of us were responsible for various franchises and we were involved in all the marketing activity associated with that marque. The job was very varied and one day was never the same as the next. You could be organising radio scripts one minute and the next you could be working with the design studio on the layout of an advert or a poster!"

Hard working and dedicated, Louise then progressed to a management position responsible for the dealings of all the marketing executives as well as in charge of local media bookings on both radio and in news publications.

She said, "After 3 years I realised my interest was becoming more and more focused towards the branding aspect of marketing and with the company growing and expanding at such a fast rate, the need for a more strategic and cohesive approach was becoming vital. I moved into the role of Brand Co-ordinator in November of last year and haven't looked back. I deal with many different facets of branding from signage at new sites to point of sale material to signs directing customers to our sites. No two days are the same and I've found myself out and about a lot more. Yesterday I was in Liverpool on site at one of our branches under redevelopment, checking on the progress on the site for signage purposes. The sales execs have been joking that they're going to buy me a special pink coloured hard hat to wear on site! Tomorrow I'm in Inverness to discuss road signs for a roundabout near our branches."

The road to Brand Co-ordinator has been long and varied for Louise but her journey's not over yet. She said, "I've worked here for 7 years and have been very happy; the staff are friendly and fun to work with. It's hard work and sometimes you can work long hours so having colleagues that you get on with makes a big difference. There's a positive ethos to Arnold Clark, we're still a growing company and I hope to be part of it working with Sir Arnold for a long time to come.
