The branch has dedicated an entire section of the showroom to Abarth and has spent in the region of £60,000 to provide an area in which this Italian masterpiece can be showcased.  Synonymous with Abarth the scorpion badge takes pride of place in the purpose built area, sports-like racing car seats replace the traditional sales section and the customary Abarth colours of red and white dominate through out; it truly is an outstanding shrine to this prestigious motorsport marque.

Billy Sommerville, general manager at Arnold Clark Fiat on Springburn Road is delighted with the arrival of Abarth at his showroom saying, "This is a very exciting time for our branch and I am thrilled that Abarth is now part of it.  We already have had a lot of interest in the vehicle with orders received from as far as the south of England.  Abarth enthusiasts will not be disappointed with the car or the level of service they will receive from the Abarth trained sales personnel here at Springburn Road."

Although Abarth may well be a Fiat subsidiary, global Abarth chief executive Luca De Meo is keen to highlight that the brand will stand alone, separate from Fiat commenting that Abarth will have ‘its own headquarters, its own people and operate as an independent unit'.  First in production and available now from Abarth is the high performance Grande Punto with more additions to the range due at the turn of the year.

Fitted with a 1.4 turbo petrol engine, delivering 155bhp, and a 6-speed manual gearbox, the sporty Abarth accelerates from 0-62mph in an impressive 8.2 seconds.  However, the Grande Punto Abarth is not just a high performing car; it is also safe and respectful of the environment.  Along with the engine and aerodynamics, the brakes and chassis have been redesigned to cope with the improved performance.  And with regards to eco-friendliness, the Grande Punto Abarth complies with the same legislation on noise and emissions as the Fiat model it is based on.
