Two local companies have teamed together to donate a mini bus to the expanding Ayr United Football Academy.
The mini bus will be used for the Academy's Football in the Community programme and also to take the youth development teams to matches in the SFA Youth Initiative and SFL Youth Division matches.
Academy Director John Dalton thanked both companies for their support. "The Academy is a rapidly growing organization and this donation will assist the Academy greatly to continue our expanding Football in the Community and youth development programmes."
"Burnockmill Equestrian and Arnold Clark are both organisations that have a community ethic and have recognised the work that we are doing and I am delighted that they have both decided to support the Academy in this way."
Stuart Watson, a partner in Burnockmill Equestrian said "As a lifelong Ayr United fan who believes strongly in promoting local youth football it is a pleasure to be able to help the Academy. I hope that the bus will go some way to helping the Community Coaching team continue with the good work that they are already carrying out. It's also good to know that it will be regularly transporting winning Academy teams and future Ayr United stars!"
Sir Arnold Clark added "We are delighted to be supporting the Ayr United Football Academy. It gives us great pleasure to be involved in the Ayrshire community to promote and encourage local youths into the development programmes. We wish them every success."
