Arnold Clark Accident Repair Centres Awarded
Thatcham BSi Safety Kitemark

At Arnold Clark Accident Repair Centres we are always focused on the quality and integrity of the work we undertake for our valued customers.

With this in mind, we are delighted to announce that our repair centres in Bishopbriggs, Dundee (East Dock St), Paisley (Murray St), Glasgow (Royston Road), Newcastle and Shiremoor have been awarded the Thatcham BSi Kitemark for Vehicle Body Repairs.

Thatcham, in partnership with the BSI (British Standards institute) and a number of key industry players have developed a universal PAS (Publicly Available Specification) for the body repair industry, which forms the basis of the Bodyshop Kitemark Scheme. This Kitemark allows the body repair industry to benchmark their working practices and in so doing demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the quality and integrity of Vehicle Accident repairs.

Bill Stoddart, Group Accident Repair Centre Manager commented "Repairing modern, technologically advanced motor vehicles has never been more challenging. The industry has to deal with new vehicle construction techniques and associated exotic materials, whilst trying to address skills shortages and balance numerous compliance criteria from work providers and trade bodies. The industry has, therefore, recognised the need for a robust cross industry standard to ensure the efficient, effective and safe repair of motor vehicles as a platform for business improvement."

I am delighted our Bodyshops meet the standards specified in PAS 125 and can now use the Thatcham BSi Kitemark, an internationally recognised symbol of quality. We look forward to our remaining Repair Centres being awarded the same honour in the very near future.'
