Lexus RX450h
Lexus Glasgow is inviting
customers to test drive the
brand new Lexus RX450h.
Customers can be the first to view and
test drive the new Lexus RX450 that is now
fully hybrid where there is no need to forgo
economy while seeking luxury. Lexus has drawn on more
than a decade of experience in full hybrid. As a result, the RX450’s real-world efficiency has been significantly improved, with a 10 per cent increase in engine power, a 28 per cent reduction in combined cycle fuel consumption, a 30 per cent improvement in cold weather fuel efficiency and an unparalleled reduction in C02 emissions.
Unlike many hybrids, which use supplementary electronic motor power simply to boost the performance of the petrol engine, the RX 450h is a full series/parallel hybrid, capable of operation in both petrol and electric modes alone, or in a combination of both. It combines the fuel efficiency and reduced emissions benefits of a series hybrid with the acceleration benefits of a parallel hybrid.
In view of this, the RX450h also qualifies for a Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) tax rate for company car drivers of 14 per cent, a level that no other MPV or SUV approaches.
