Arnold Clark supports Olympic swimmer Ross Murdoch

Arnold Clark is proud to support Olympic and Commonwealth swimmer Ross Murdoch.

Arnold Clark is proud to support Olympic and Commonwealth swimmer, Ross Murdoch, by providing him with a BMW 1 Series.

Ross, who collected his BMW 1 Series from Arnold Clark Hillington this week said;

‘I’m delighted to be partnering with Arnold Clark, and would like to thank them for their support of me. To have the support of an iconic British company on my journey to my first Olympic Games in Rio is so exciting and a proud moment for me. Having a car is essential to my training, as I drive myself to and from the pool, so I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of my new BMW!’

Group Director Eddie Hawthorne was with Franchise Director, Russell Borrie to hand over the car to Ross. Russell Borrie said; ‘We are delighted to be able to help one of our home-grown Olympic competitors. Ross has worked hard to get to this level of competition and we wish him and the rest of team GB the best of luck at Rio 2016.’

Ross in his new BMW 1 Series

Ross, 22, from Balloch, swims for the University of Stirling team. He’s one of 26 swimmers representing GB at Rio 2016 and will be competing in the 100m breaststroke.

Ross made his senior swimming debut at London 2012 and competed in the 200m breaststroke final.

He competed at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 achieving gold in the 200m breastroke and beating Commonwealth and British records while he was at it. Ross also achieved a bronze for his 100m breaststroke, 6th for the 50m and 7th place in the 4 x 100 m medley relay.
