Our Citroen branch in Station Way, Armadale, celebrated the launch of its brand new dealership at the end of March, with a fun-filled open weekend hosted by Real Radio’s Ewen and Cat.

The branch played host to a variety of entertainment, as well as making charitable donations to Armadale Academy, the Armadale Falcons 2002 football team and the River Kids charity who all came to the dealership to celebrate the launch.

Arnold Clark has been proud sponsors of the Armadale Falcons 2002 team since the end of 2013 and we were delighted to have them attend the open weekend, where they were presented with a cheque for £400 for the forthcoming season. The team made the most of the delicious candy buffet that was on display, as well as enjoying the magician and the balloon artist at the event.

Arnold Clark also made a £400 donation to the charitable trust River Kids. River Kids, which has been in existence since 2005, aims to provide every disadvantaged child in the local community with toys and bicycles that are adapted for their use. The £400 donation by Arnold Clark will help River Kids provide adapted bicycles for children who have never had the opportunity to go on their first bike ride due to physical disability.

Armadale Academy Parents Association also received a £400 donation from Arnold Clark to help raise funds for the school at the event. The Armadale Academy pupils were also invited to raise more funds for their school during the Arnold Clark Citroen launch weekend.

The branch event coincided with the launch of the new Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, which was voted What Car? Car of the Year 2014. The dealership had a Grand C4 filled with balloons and Armadale Academy pupils charged guests £1 to guess how many balloons were in the car in order to raise funds for the school.

The event led to an all-time sales record for the Armadale Citroen branch, with the highest ever number of cars sold by the end of the weekend.

Citroen Franchise Manager Liam Burns commented: “We were overwhelmed at the number of customers who came along to our open weekend, proving that Arnold Clark Citroen really is part of the Armadale community. We were also delighted to see some of our loyal customers, some who have been our customers for more than 20 years, and to show them round our fantastic new facility here in Station Way.”
