Arnold Clark is proud to sponsor student and dancer – Morven Douglas (19) of Stewarton, Ayrshire. At just 16 years old Morven went to train as a professional dancer at the Central School of Ballet in London.

Morven outshone the rest when she started dancing at two years old. Later, she achieved a place in Scottish Ballet Junior Associate Programme, which led to her becoming a full-time student at the Dance School of Scotland, Scotland’s only centre of excellence for dance and musical theatre.

Gaining acceptance into the Central School of Ballet, London in 2012, Morven is now entering into her third year having gained high marks in ballet and contemporary assessments, as well as having her choreography piece showcased at the Platform theatre in London. This gave Morven a stepping stone to gaining a place in the award-winning show ‘Polaris’ by choreographer Crystal Pite.

Having completed Central School of Ballet’s annual show production this summer, Morven was delighted to be awarded the Contemporary Dancer of the Year award, and will succeed into her third year in London as of September.

Morven would like to stress her thanks to Arnold Clark for the support during her time in London, which has helped her on her way to a most exciting career.
