Accident Exchange is warning of a 15% jump in road traffic accidents in October compared to the monthly average. Arnold Clark is providing tips on driving in wet weather conditions to help prevent you from being involved in an accident :- 1. Slow down – when the road is wet, your tyres have less grip therefore it is important to keep your speed down. 2. Increase stopping distances – increase the distance between you and the car in front. A vehicle travelling at 40mph will need up to 72 metres to come to a stop whereas in wet weather conditions stopping distances can double. 3.
