What you’ll do

Find the right car for our customers, based on who they are and what they need, building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Deliver the right sales package, from finance to servicing, and continue to follow up with the customer after you close the sale.

Achieve monthly sales targets for new and used cars, as well as targets for finance and other Arnold Clark products.

Coordinate order and delivery of vehicles with the sales administrator and accurately maintain customer databases.

Sales licence programme format

  • 12 modules with pre-set learning materials.
  • Demonstrate your knowledge on a given subject, and 
your ability to communicate this to customers.
  • You will be supported by the branch manager and 
a group mentor.
  • You will attend a mandatory 5-day 'Sales Academy’.
  • When you have demonstrated the required skills, you will receive your Arnold Clark Sales Licence and recognition from the Group Directors.

Having worked for Arnold Clark Insurance Services for over 13 years, I decided to make the move into sales in 2014. At first this seemed very daunting! But after attending Sales Academy, I really started to gain knowledge of the sales process.

My training continued in the branch until I began selling on my own. I’ve now done this for two years and it has built my confidence and given me a lot more opportunities.
