Sales

Are branches open?

While showrooms in Level 4 areas in Scotland are temporarily closed, you can still buy online and choose to Click & Collect or we’ll deliver to your home.

All other showrooms, service centres and rental branches are open as normal.

Can I collect my car from my local branch?

The current government guidelines allow you to collect your car from a branch in your local area. All our branches have contactless processes and enhanced safety measures in place to keep you safe.

Can I test-drive a car?

Test drives are available, but due to social distancing rules, they will be unaccompanied. Before you test-drive, we’ll check your documents and organise a planned test drive route for you.

Do I need to wear a face covering?

It is now a legal requirement for all of our staff and customers to wear a face covering in and when moving around our branches, though certain exemptions apply.

Outside, where a 2-metre distance can be maintained, face coverings are not required. However, masks are required at all points during the car sales handover process.

Are branches open for Motability customers?

In Level 4 areas of Scotland we are operating a range of safe, remote processes to help Motability customers, including telephone applications and contactless Click & Collect.

In place of test drives, we’ll send you a personalised preview video of your chosen car so that you can familiarise yourself with its controls, features and functions before you collect it.

Motability vehicles must be collected in the branch using our contactless Click & Collect process – home delivery is not available.

Everywhere else, Motability services in our branches are operating as normal, and you can still safely visit the branch to process your application and collect your car.

However, we understand that if you’ve been shielding you may prefer not to visit the branch. If this is the case, you can create and submit your application over the phone or via a video call. In addition, if you’d rather not collect your car in person, it can be collected by somebody else, providing that they are insured to drive the car.

Sell your car

Can I sell my car to Arnold Clark?

We’ve paused buying cars, but we’ll be back soon! Got an urgent question? Just get in touch.

Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental

Is Arnold Clark open for car and van rental?

Our branches will remain open with contactless processes and safety measures in place. Please visit our website to hire a vehicle.

Can I hire a dual control car?

Dual control cars are currently available to hire from all branches. Due to current government restrictions, both drivers should be from the same household and hiring within their own council area.

Safety measures in our branches

We have new contactless processes and hygiene procedures in place to guarantee a safe car shopping experience.
