The new Berlingo is funky, has ample space and can be tailored to suit your needs.
Three independent rear seats now fold separately or in conjunction with each other to provide a flat floor to give you space to customise, and it’s available in two lengths – medium (4.40m) and extra-large (4.75m).
The medium-sized model fits five people and offers a boot volume of 775 litres, while the XL version is 35 cm longer and comes with a longer wheelbase and the capacity to sit up to seven passengers.
There’s also plenty of space for all your stuff. Overall, the new Citroën Berlingo has a load volume of up to 4,000 litres, and a load length of over 3 meters for the XL version. Modutop® technology offers the option of an additional 92 litres of storage. With a luggage shelf in the rear that can support up to 25 kg and can also divide the boot into compartments, it’s adaptable, too.
The new Citroën Berlingo has an improved look: a higher and shorter grille, a brand-identifying front panel with the signature two-tier light and a forward-set windscreen providing more space and brightness. It is also topped by roof bars and embellished with signature Citroën Airbump® design.
Inside, its surrounding connected glazed surfaces and large panoramic glass roof make sure light gets in, and there’s an electric blind in case you need shade. With seven colours available there’s plenty of room to stand out, too, with an option to add white flashes around the fog lights and side protection strips which complement each colour. And if you are feeling extra adventurous, you can go for the XTR pack, with orange highlights and a vibrant green interior.
The Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme ensures comfortable seats, suspension, a great acoustic system and an even bigger 8-inch touchscreen replacing the old 7-inch one. Grip Control® further ensures a comfortable driving experience, adapting the traction of the front wheels depending on the type of road surface. The hill descent assist feature maintains the car at a reduced speed even on steep inclines. The new Citroën Berlingo also marks the arrival of an EAT8 8-speed automatic transmission for optimum driving comfort.
The new Citroën Berlingo provides dynamic handling thanks to the combination of a new platform and the latest generation of engines that offer low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Petrol and diesel engines offer first-class performance while remaining environmentally friendly.
Petrol engines available — PureTech range: 1.2L PureTech S&S 110 hp or 130 hp EAT8 (auto). Diesel engines available — BlueHDi range 1.5L BlueHDi S&S 75 hp, 100 hp or 130 hp BVM6 (6-speed manual) or EAT8 (auto).
