We love MINI, and we love their unique style. So we’re big fans of their new marketing campaign – “NOT NORMAL”.

MINI say: “We’ve no idea why people create MINI birthday cakes or sculpt genius sandcastles, we’re just happy that they do. So we’re celebrating all the inventive ways that they show their passion for our cars.” They are encouraging people to send in images, videos and stories – ‘MINI tributes’ – to their Facebook and Twitter pages, so they can be used in poster advertising up and down the country.

The campaign plays on fact that a MINI isn’t a normal car to drive – it has a unique personality and makes a statement about the individual behind the wheel.

Some of the customised MINIs making headlines this year have included the MINI XXL limo and the concept MINI caravans showcased in Croatia in July. Definitely different.

People with a love for MINI cars don’t just get excited about variations of the car itself – golf carts, MINI monster cars or MINI elephant cars – anything MINI-related can ignite passion in their fanbase. We’ve seen knitted car cosies, desk ornaments and even MINIs made out of eggs and biscuits.

You can view people’s creations at the Facebook page and enter your own images, videos and stories with #MININOTNORMAL.
