Ok, we all have our moments of being a bit absent-minded – and Arnold Clark customers are no exception. Throughout the years, the Arnold Clark Car and Van Rental staff have had the pleasure of finding some very weird and wonderful items that have been left behind in their rental cars.
When asked about the strangest items they have come across, the Arnold Clark Rental staff were quick to enlighten us with stories of the slightly more sinister objects that had been overlooked by customers. From tombstones to urns to a body bag, the Arnold Clark Rental employees never know what they are going to find!
It’s crucial that staff are animal-friendly, due to the number of scaly and furry creatures that have been abandoned in the vehicles. Some of these include a crab, a snake, a bird’s nest and deer heads! One customer even drove off and left their much-loved pooch in the back of their hired car!
No matter what is left behind, the Arnold Clark Rental staff always do their best to return the neglected goods to their owner and the story of the missing teddy bear is a perfect example of this.
When a little girl left her favourite teddy in the back of the car her family had hired she thought she would never see it again. However, the Aberdeen Rental branch quickly jumped to the rescue to ensure the young girl and her teddy would be reunited again. The staff immediately sent a postcard to the girl on behalf of her teddy to let her know he was just on his holidays and would be home soon. Mr Ted was then carefully boxed up and sent on his way, to be welcomed home with open arms.
Thanks to our forgetful customers, the employees at Arnold Clark Car and Van Hire have learned to be on their guard and always keep both eyes open when entering a returned vehicle… After all, who knows what they might find next!
Along with snakes, TV sets and zimmer frames. Check your hire cars before you return them, people! (*The body bag was, of course, empty!)
