It’s all change for the Citroën line-up. With this new SUV model, drivers can expect a raft of new technologies and lavish interior styling. Let’s take a closer look at the revolutionary new C5 Aircross…

Performance and drive

With a range of five engines and gearbox combinations, the C5 Aircross utilises some of the award-winning leading engines in the Citroën range, coupled with the debut of the PureTech 180 engine, offering a composed driving experience.

Bumps in the road? No problem. Comfort is enhanced by way of the Progressive Hydraulic Cushion suspension system, which is fitted as standard across all trim levels.

Grip Control and Hill Descent Control are also ready and waiting to assist you with any off-road driving.

Technology

Designed with ease of use in mind, intuitive technologies offer a safe and calm drive.

Highway driver assist sees a step towards autonomous driving, controlling direction and speed in relation to lane position and distance to the vehicle in front. Adaptive cruise control with Stop/Go function and Active Lane Departure warning system contributes to peace of mind and safety at the wheel, ideal for motorway driving.

Vision 360 offers an all-round view of the car. Combine that with the car’s Park Assist feature and manoeuvring into those tight spaces has never seemed so simple. The active parking assistance system does the hard work for you, automatically detecting a space and controlling steering for an entirely safe park.

Optional intelligent beam headlights automatically switch between high and low beam, perfect for nighttime driving.

Connectivity

The 8-inch touchscreen provides a control centre for the vehicle, with access to air-conditioning, radio, telephone and Sat-nav controls. The touchscreen is also compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car Play – allowing the driver to access apps and multimedia from their mobiles. Wireless smartphone charging adds additional convenience for long journeys.

The ConnectedCAM Citroën integrated camera system can be used to take, share and store photos or videos, with automatic recordings in the event of a collision.

Interior

The C5 Aircross offers a stylish and spacious interior. Three trim levels are offered – Feel, Flair and Flair Plus.

The Feel trim benefits from excellent driving technology as standard, including active lane departure warning system and blind spot monitoring.

Flair offers stylish features such as 18-inch swirl alloy wheels and a grained leather interior. While the Flair Plus offers a panoramic glass roof, gloss black external trim and a foot operated motorised tailgate.

Availability and pricing

The new Citroën C5 Aircross SUV will arrive at Arnold Clark Citroën branches in January 2019.

List prices will start from £23,225.
