Spotlight on the Peugeot 208 and e-208
City driving just got even cooler. The new petrol and all-electric 208 is on its way.
The Peugeot 208 first came onto the supermini scene in 2012, promising a more efficient performance than its predecessor, the 207. Its lighter construction and distinctive trims made it a favourite amongst younger drivers, and it formed part of Peugeot’s more adventurous design direction, adding sporty steering wheels, the touchscreen i-Cockpit and even a full-throttle hot hatch to the range.
Released in early 2020 but available for pre-order from Arnold Clark later this summer, the all-new 208 comes with a new electric version guaranteed to make city driving slicker. Peugeot plans to add electric variants to its full line-up by 2023, and the 208 is one of the first. Boasting striking claw-shaped LED lights, a funky colour range and intuitive tech, the future of driving never felt more fun.
