On 24th August 2019, Arnold Clark will be attending Evolution Glasgow, a unique electric vehicle show that takes place in the iconic setting of George Square. We’ll have a range of EVs on show to give you a taste of the latest in automotive technology.

Get on the grid

Electric cars are now produced by a huge variety of manufactures and there’s a great variety of models available, from big family SUVs to small city cars and even premium saloons. At Evolution, you’ll be able to try out some of our current range, including:

  • Volkswagen e-Golf
  • Mini Countryman PHEV
  • BMW i3
  • Renault ZOE
  • Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
  • Hyundai Ioniq

You can also get up close with some premium electrified models, including the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW i8 and sought-after models like the Hyundai Kona and Kia e-Niro. There’s even an exclusive preview of the all-new Ford Kuga plug-in hybrid, which arrives in showrooms in 2020.

And you can get all the information you need from our expert product geniuses about how to buy and maintain an electric car. And if you’d like to take one of the models for a spin, speed up the process by getting your DVLA code in advance.

See a range of exhibitors

If you want to find out more about electric cars and energy efficiency, a range of exhibitors will be there to give you all the information you need.

Glasgow City Council will be there to talk about Scotland’s first Low Emission Zone which comes into effect in December 2022. This is part of a drive to cut emissions and improve health. When it comes into effect, only vehicles that meet exhaust emissions standards will be allowed to enter the zone. They’ll be working in partnership with ChargePlace Glasgow, who are working towards building a sustainable charging network throughout the city as Scotland aims to phase out conventional vehicles by 2032.

If you’re looking for an electric vehicle on two wheels, VOLT will be able to help. They’ve been producing e-bikes since 2010, giving cyclists a little bit of extra power when they need it.

And for some independent advice on all things EV, you can talk to EVA Scotland, the voice of the electric vehicle movement in Scotland. They’ll have information, advice on vehicles, charging, range and what it’s like to buy an electric car.
