Arnold Clark’s Hyundai i20 launch weekend

The highly anticipated New Generation i20 has arrived at Arnold Clark Hyundai – and you are invited to be one of the first to get behind the wheel during our launch weekend on Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th of January.

What’s new in the i20?

The new generation i20 was given its big reveal at the Paris Motor Show 2014 and instantly impressed. In fact, it was first on our list of the 7 hatchbacks we’re looking forward to in 2015.

The Hyundai i20 has had more of a facelift than being a brand new car, but the small tweaks Hyundai has made make the new i20 a capable contender in the small hatchback race.

Styling changes and refinement have been the key components in the new design for the i20, and most notable changes are increasing the room inside, and giving the exterior a bit more interest.

We love the new additions to the exterior styling of the new i20, which includes a blacked-out C-pillar that gives the illusion of a floating roof.

Inside, there’s significantly more room than in the i20’s predecessor. Boot capacity is up to 326-litres, and there is ample legroom inside. The New Generation i20 beats the Fiesta and the latest Polo on the boot capacity front, which will make it seriously competitive in its class.

With its sophisticated style and smart technology, the new i20 is irresistible and charismatic. The generous proportions and intuitive design allow complete comfort on every journey, and the new generation i20 is well equipped to meet the demands of any active lifestyle.

Trim levels and prices

Trim levels start with the entry-level S-trim from £10,695, and go up to the premium SE model, where prices rise to £16,725. There will be five trim levels to choose from in total. Trim levels available are: S, S Air, S Blue, SE, Premium and Premium SE. Hyundai expects the mid-range SE trim to be most popular.

An automatic gearbox is available on the SE trim and above, with a price premium of £900.

How does it drive?

The ride is smooth and relaxing in the i20; engine noise is minimal and comfort is second to none. There’s plenty of grip and rear parking sensors (standard on SE trim) combined with excellent visibility means that the i20 is easy to navigate about town.
