What would the characters of Star Wars drive in real life? Part I

We predict what the Star Wars characters would drive in real life. Do you agree?

Star Wars characters – what would they drive?

Star Wars characters – what would they drive?

The whole world is buzzing about the imminent premiere of the seventh Star Wars movie The Force Awakens. We couldn’t be more excited either, so, because cars are our thing, we decided to match some of our favourite Star Wars characters with their perfect real-life car! So, here we go…

Luke Skywalker – White Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR

We think this race car is the best choice for Mr Skywalker because it matches his personality so well – it’s unique and powerful. The CLK model is nothing short of a Jedi-Knight-worthy car, with its sleek looks and incredible performance. And being the skilled pilot that he is, no doubt Luke Skywalker will succeed in taming that award-winning 6.0-litre V12 engine!

Darth Vader – Black BMW 328i Coupé

They are both styled in black and extremely powerful. The character of Darth Vader is strangely exciting… and the 328i BMW can definitely set your pulse racing. Also, both of them are very strong figures, whether it is on the road or in the Sith Empire. We think Darth Vader would enjoy driving around in this powerful, sporty coupé and there is plenty of space in the cabin for the kids too! #Spoiler

Princess Leia – White Citroën C3

Being the busy woman that she is, Princess Leia undoubtedly needs something compact and fast to stay one step ahead of the Empire. Just like with her brother, white suits her so much that we are sure it will be her colour of choice for the car too! Citroën has been famous for its ability to adapt without compromising on performance – similar to Princess Leia, who is a strong and accomplished leader.

Han Solo and Chewbacca – Navy Jeep Renegade

These two ride together of course, and even though the Renegade is not as fast as the ship that famously made the Kessel Run in under 12 par-secs, we think it’s the perfect ride for them. The Jeep’s boot is big enough for them to smuggle virtually anything – not to mention the Renegade is much safer than the Millennium Falcon. We think Han and Chewie will be impressed by the somewhat eccentric bodywork of the Jeep, if not they will surely appreciate its 2-litre turbo diesel engine.

Yoda – Green Fiat 500

The Fiat 500, he will like. Green, it has to be. We suspect that this car might be given to Yoda as a gift from his student Luke Skywalker as a token of appreciation. The ever-wise teacher would appreciate the low running costs and the economy fuel use of the Fiat. Also, the distinctive looks of this model remind us of the uniqueness of Yoda himself. The Force is very strong with this one!

Obi-Wan Kenobi – Blue Citroën C4 Cactus

This legendary Jedi Master needs an equally cool ride and we think the rugged stylings of the Citroën C4 with its textured side panels is the best match. Good for getting around a dusty desert planet like Tattooine and outrunning Tukan Raiders, the Cactus would be the perfect car for Ben Kenobi, with loads of space in the cabin and a comfy driving experience. And of course, it has to be finished in the Blue Lagoon paint to match the Jedi’s lightsaber!

R2-D2 and C-3PO – White vintage Volkswagen Camper Van

We think R2-D2 and C-3PO would love to travel together. And because we think they would enjoy a bigger vehicle, we’ve decided that a vintage campervan would suit them just perfectly when they move around. They are both old souls, who enjoy friendly banter so surely they won’t mind travelling together – in style of course!

Darth Maul – Red and black Peugeot 308 GTi

This character is very scary and distinctively coloured so we decided to allocate him an equally striking ride. The turbocharged 197 bhp 1.6-litre engine is guaranteed to live up to Maul’s expectations and will surely come in handy should some Jedis (dare) go after him! Or imagine if he had it when he was brought to Stygeon Prime! The chosen colours of the 308 GTi also match Maul’s beautiful face and the three-door model means no one else is invited in his car.
