Arnold Clark in
the community

We're proud to be the UK's largest independent car retailer, but we're also proud to serve our local communities.

We want to use our success to help others

Arnold Clark started as a single-car showroom in Glasgow. More than 70 years on, we're the UK's largest independent car retailer, but we still keep our local communities at the heart of our business.

Through our Community Fund, we support registered charities and grassroots groups close to our branches. We also back causes we genuinely believe in, from fundraising events to kitting out young sports teams.

Our employees in the community

We care about the causes our employees care about. That's why we support their fundraising efforts with match donations, raffle prizes, and practical fundraising advice.

How we can help

We want to give back to the communities that we serve.

That's why the Arnold Clark Community Fund is here to help registered UK charities and community groups close to our branches.

Beatson Cancer Charity

"Arnold Clark has supported the Beatson Cancer Charity since 2014, and their long-standing support has played an important role in shaping our work. Through fundraising, practical assistance and hands-on involvement, their support has made a meaningful difference to people affected by cancer across the west of Scotland.

"Employees from across Arnold Clark have actively supported the Beatson Cancer Charity through a wide range of activities – by taking part in the Kiltwalk, sponsoring events and donating auction prizes to help raise vital funds. Arnold Clark has also backed Easter egg and Christmas selection box drives, helping to provide small but important moments of comfort to patients during treatment. In 2023, members of the Arnold Clark team took part in Strictly Beatson, even going on to win the event.

"Alongside fundraising, Arnold Clark has provided invaluable practical support by donating cars and vans for our staff to use. This has helped our teams stay connected and responsive, ensuring we can support those who need it most.

"We’d like to thank Arnold Clark for their continued support, commitment and generosity, which helps ensure we can be there for people affected by cancer when they need us most."

Joyce Ross, Partnerships Fundraising Manager

Cash for Kids

"Our partnership with Arnold Clark has been a cornerstone of our mission to support disadvantaged children across Glasgow and the east of Scotland. For over 30 years, they’ve stood alongside Cash for Kids as a committed, hands-on partner, helping us reach the children who need it most.

"Together, we’ve delivered our famous Clyde 1 Cash for Kids Christmas Lunches, supported our Golf Days, and provided additional funding opportunities for local organisations through the Sir Arnold Clark Summer Fund, bringing joy to families who often go without. From fundraising and volunteering to amplifying our campaigns, every contribution has made a tangible difference.

"This partnership began with the late Sir Arnold Clark, whose belief in supporting local children laid the foundation for everything we’ve achieved together. His legacy, carried forward by the Arnold Clark team, has helped us extend our reach and deliver lifechanging support to thousands of children.

"We’re incredibly proud of what this partnership has grown into and excited for what the future holds."

Grace Reilly, Regional Director at Cash for Kids (West of Scotland)

Kiltwalk

"Since 2016, Arnold Clark has been headline sponsor of the Kilwalk – backing every event from Glasgow to Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh, while offering invaluable support and genuine encouragement to our community of fundraisers.

"Over the course of our partnership, hundreds of Arnold Clark employees have taken part in the Kiltwalk, raising vital funds for causes close to their hearts.

"Their commitment has helped us grow year after year – increasing participation, boosting fundraising and bringing so many more charities into the fold. We’re immensely grateful for Arnold Clark’s continued support, enthusiasm and belief in what Kiltwalk stands for. We simply couldn’t do what we do without them."

Gillian Alexander, Marketing and Sponsorship Manager

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

"Arnold Clark has been a long-standing partner of Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, supporting us through employee fundraising, volunteering and sponsorship.

"For more than five years, they've sponsored our patient Christmas card and bauble competitions. With both designed by our patients, the winning card is sold online and at Christmas markets, with all proceeds donated back to the charity. The winning bauble design becomes the centrepiece of our Christmas appeal, sent to anyone who donates £10 or more. Arnold Clark volunteers even hand-make the baubles themselves.

"Our donors, fundraisers and partners help to fund life-changing project and services that make a real difference to children and families in hospital. We’re grateful for their continued support of our hospital community."

William McGowan-Smith, Head of Partnerships & Business Development

Maggie’s

"Maggie's has been proudly supported by Arnold Clark since 2009, raising over £160,000 for our centres across the UK.

"Over the years, Arnold Clark employees have really got into the spirit of fundraising – attending events, taking on the Kiltwalk, donating cars for auction, and many other creative ideas. Employees have also volunteered their time to support those affected by cancer.

"Most recently, Arnold Clark has come on board as a sponsor of Scotties in the City, a major public art trail across Glasgow in June 2026. All of this support helps Maggie’s to continue providing free support to those living with cancer, along with their family and friends."

Hayley Smith, Project Manager

Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice

"Arnold Clark has supported The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice for more than 20 years, and their incredible generosity and loyalty has helped to change hospice care in Glasgow. During the hospice’s capital appeal, the Clark family played a significant role in raising £21 million, helping us deliver the highest standard of compassionate care to 1,200 patients and family members each year. In recognition of their support, the hospice building is named after Sir Arnold Clark.

"Arnold Clark also provides a branded car so staff can visit supporters and travel to events, and is the headline sponsor of one of the hospice’s key fundraising events: the annual Burns Supper in Glasgow."

Alexander Winn, Business Development Manager

Street Soccer

"Street Soccer is incredibly grateful for our 10-year partnership with Arnold Clark.

"Their commitment has been a driving force across our programmes. Subsidised vehicles have strengthened our delivery network and helped us reach more people in need. They've supported our fundraising events – Gala Dinners, Golf Days, Women Inspired Lunch – and their team members have gone further still, taking on personal challenges, entering football tournaments and volunteering at our activities.

"We are indebted to the whole Arnold Clark team. Their support – from the boardroom to the finish line – has a lasting impact on people challenged with social disadvantage across our communities."

Heather Manson, Head of Fundraising

Trossachs Search & Rescue

"Trossachs Search & Rescue has been proud to partner with Arnold Clark since 2014. Their continued support, particularly through the provision of reliable 4x4 vehicles, has had a direct and lasting impact on our ability to serve communities across the Trossachs and beyond.

"The vehicles allow our volunteers to stay mobile in all conditions – whether responding to emergencies as Community First Responders for the Scottish Ambulance Service, delivering lifesaving CPR training to rural communities, or assisting during major incidents.

"The support enables our community resilience work across the Trossachs, from flooding in Aberfoyle to helping the NHS deliver vital people and equipment in winter.

"We're a small charity; without this support, we couldn't afford to provide these services without scaling back.

"This long-standing partnership strengthens our operational resilience and helps us reach more people when they need us most. Arnold Clark’s commitment to community organisations like ours truly makes a difference on the ground."
