Get into Automotive

The ‘Get into Automotive’ programme is run in partnership by Prince’s Trust Scotland and the Arnold Clark Group and GTG Training.

Do you want to:

  • Work with car parts and understand where they all fit on a car?
  • Learn how to provide top-quality customer service?
  • Use the most up-to-date software and technology?
  • Be guaranteed an interview with Europe's largest independently owned car retailer?

If this sounds like you, our brand-new ‘Get into Automotive’ programme could be for you! As part of a six-week intensive training programme, students will develop their customer service and digital skills while gaining a well-rounded understanding of the automotive industry. The programme will also help to develop their vocational skills and give them the opportunity to take part in four-weeks of work experience within Arnold Clark’s Aftersales department to put their newfound skills to the test.

Helping young people Get into Automotive

The Prince’s Trust ‘Get into Automotive’ programme is a six-week course that gives young people in Scotland aged 16-30 the chance to learn the skills needed to be able to work in the automotive industry.

With our previous mechanic programme ‘Get into Cars’, we saw huge success and 80% of participants moved into mechanical apprenticeships and permanent employment with Arnold Clark.
