Are your branches open?

Our branches in both England and Scotland are now open.

Can I collect my car from my local branch?

You can now collect your chosen car safely in the branch. We can take payment over the phone or if you prefer, we can take contactless payment in branch and your car will be waiting for you – disinfected and safe for you to drive home.


Is Arnold Clark open for servicing?

Our Aftersales departments are now open. Book an appointment online, or call our Contact Centre on 0141 471 5738.

My car has been stored in an Arnold Clark branch during lockdown. When will I get this back?

Your vehicle is a priority and we are working on it as fast and safely as we can. Thank you for your patience.

My vehicle is covered by manufacturer warranty and I have an issue but I was unable to make a booking during lockdown. What should I do?

We are working with each of our manufacturer partners to ensure that they adopt a flexible and sympathetic approach. As we are now open again, we would ask that you make a new booking as soon as you can.

What if my vehicle is covered by the Arnold Clark 60-day used car warranty and I have an issue?

You can make an appointment by calling 0141 471 5738 or emailing Please note that any used vehicle that has been delivered by the Group between 14th February 2020 and the lockdown of 24th March 2020 will automatically have the normal 60-day used car warranty period extended by an additional 60 days. Please note that this applies to used vehicles delivered that were either out of manufacturer warranty or had less than 60 days’ manufacturer warranty remaining at the date of delivery.


I have a PCP agreement that is scheduled to end soon – what do I do?

We would advise that you contact the finance company that your PCP agreement is with. Their contact details will be found within your finance agreement documentation and also on the finance company’s website.


I placed an application before lockdown, when will the handover of my car go ahead?

When your car is ready to be handed over, your branch will be in touch with you to make an appointment.

I’m an existing customer. When can I place an application for my next car?

If you are in the final three months of your lease, or have had your lease extended due to COVID-19, you can place an order now.

Motability pricing has been updated. Remember that pricing on the scheme is updated every three months, and the current pricing is valid for orders placed up until 30th June 2020. Pricing will be updated as normal on 1st July.

Please note: Motability Finance usually requires 12 months remaining on your allowance when you place an application. However, due to the current situation they are accepting applications from existing customers who have at least six months remaining.

Do I need to make an appointment at my branch to place an application?

Our branches have new social distancing measures in place, so please make an appointment by contacting your branch.

Has COVID-19 affected car delivery times?

The length of time it takes for your car to be delivered could vary due to the disruption experienced by car manufacturers during this time.

It’s worth checking if the car that you’re interested in is in stock, or whether it needs to be ordered from the manufacturer, which might delay your order. We might have a comparable car from a different manufacturer, so it’s worth considering this before placing your order.

Alternatively, in certain circumstances you may decide that you’d like to extend your lease for longer. This might be the case if you have specific adaptations, or if you have driven less than 15,000 miles at the end of your three-year lease. If either of these apply, please contact the Motability Finance Customer Services team on 0300 456 4566.

I was in the process of choosing my first car on the scheme but had not yet placed an application, can I still go ahead?

Motability Finance will be able to take applications from customers looking to join the scheme from 1st July 2020.

I do not want to place a renewal application at the end of my lease, how do I hand my car back?

All of our branches are now open, and you can book appointments for end of contract vehicle returns. Just contact your local branch to find out how to return your vehicle.

If you’re unable to return your vehicle for any reason, call Motability on 0300 456 4566 to make other arrangements.

My lease was automatically extended for six months. What will happen to my Good Condition Bonus?

Where customers have had leases automatically extended, Motability Finance has been paying the Good Condition Bonus (GCB) on the original lease end date for your car.

Please note, if you did request an early payment of your GCB during the lease, you will not be entitled to this payment again.

My usual driver is not able to drive me at the moment. Can I add a new driver?

Your lease includes insurance for up to three named drivers, who can be family, friends or carers. If you urgently need to add a new driver, please call RSA Motability (RSAM) on 0300 037 3737.

The driver you wish to add will need to be with you when you call, so RSAM can check their details and add them to your policy straight away.

The MOT is due on my car. What should I do?

Don’t worry – the government announced that any MOTs due to expire after 30th March will have an automatic six-month extension. All of our branches and service centres are now open, and we’re in the process of contacting customers whose MOTs are due.

If your MOT expired before this date, you will need to arrange this with your local branch if their service centre is open, or with Kwik Fit at one of their centres. If you are self-isolating you should book the MOT for after the period of self-isolation is over, or ask a named driver to take the vehicle to be tested.

I was due to be reassessed for my allowance, but the DWP have suspended my assessment for 3 months. Can I stay in my current vehicle?

If your lease is due to end before your reassessment, please contact us on 0300 456 4566 so we can apply for a lease extension for you. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have confirmed that they will continue to pay allowances where they have had to delay assessments.
