What are new reg plate cars?
New reg plate cars are the newest cars available on the market.
Each year there are two new car registrations which take place in March and September. March 1st and September 1st are the dates on which they are released.
Cars registered between March 1st and 31st of August take the last two digits of the release year in their plates, for example: 'XY24 XYZ'. Those registered between the 1st of September and the 28th of February take the last digit of the year preceded by a '7'. The 7 represents the current decade (2020 - 2029), for example 'XY74 XYZ'. The decade 2030 - 2039 would therefore be XY8Z XYZ.
