Singer Gary Barlow and BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans completed an epic charity drive from Land’s End to John O’Groats in aid of Breast Cancer care on Thursday.
The duo were joined by Professor Brian Cox and broadcaster James May in a bespoke pink Rolls-Royce Ghost as they set off 10:15 BST from west Cornwall
The campaign, FAB1 Million, has seen Chris Evans put his FAB1 number plate on the fabulously pink Rolls Royce, which anyone can hire and aims to raise £1million or more this year.
Evans, who came up with the idea said, “FAB1 Million aims to raise a million pounds for breast cancer – it’s as simple as that. You can hire the most famous Rolls-Royce in the world for special events or celebrations, all safely in the knowledge that you are donating to a very worthy cause in the process.
“It’s a win-win situation”.
The 24-hour trip saw the team stop off at Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow along the way to raise awareness of the charity drive before reaching their destination in the early hours of Friday 19th April.
At each stop, members of the public had the chance to enter a raffle to win a ride in the car.
Now that the trip is completed, the car is available to hire in order to raise funds for the charity.
