"Playful but gutsy, sturdy yet impish" is how Kia describes its new concept car. Due to be unveiled at the IAA (Frankfurt Motor Show) on 10th September, Kia's concept car has been dangled in front of our noses in recently released teaser images.

With no plans in place to make the car a production model, Kia plans to "gauge potential customer response" when they unveil the car in Frankfurt - so, should it be a hit, expect to see something similar in the showrooms in the future. The B-segment car looks "ready to take on the urban environment with style and tenacity", says Kia.

We don't yet know much about the car - it is still being built, according to their press office - but the following features are listed in the Kia press release:

  • Mischievous character
  • Robust and substantial
  • Stylish body shape
  • Mix of contrasting materials
  • Compact, purposeful dimensions
  • Intriguing elements not always associated with smaller cars
  • Designed with Europe and European tastes and expectations in mind

OK, so this doesn't tell us very much about what the car is actually like - but it sounds cool. We should have more details nearer the time, so stay tuned!
