Seat ibiza: The history of a spanish icon

The recent reveal of the freshly updated SEAT Ibiza represents the latest chapter in the long history of this model, which began when the original Ibiza Mk1 was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1984.

The first iconic Ibiza model left the Zona Franca assembly lines on 27th April 1984, since then the four different generations have sold over 4 million units, making the Ibiza the most popular SEAT Model.

This first model was the result of collaboration between SEAT, the Italian designer Giugiaro, German engineering company Karmann and the prestigious German sports-car manufacturer Porsche. It was considered to be the most charismatic car in the SEAT range.

  • The new seat ibiza

The new SEAT Ibiza has adapted and grown over the years, along with its drivers. Representing youthfulness, quality, and driving enjoyment - the latest model is still as popular as the first model was when it launched almost 30 years ago.
