The Hyundai Motor Company (pronounced ‘hai-un-day') is a South Korean car manufacturer. The brand was founded in 1967 by Chung Ju-yung. Hyundai’s first model was the Cortina, released as a collaboration with the Ford Motor Company in 1968. Today, the Hyundai Motor Group is one of the biggest vehicle manufacturers in the world.

The Hyundai i20 is a supermini hatchback that made its debut in 2008. It's a stylish and spacious model that has been enduringly popular ever since its release. The Mk3 launched in 2023 featuring a new facelift. The Mk3 also received a punchy 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This can produce 100bhp. This is linked to a choice of either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

First released in 2008, the Hyundai i10 is a compact city car ideal for driving around town and tucking into small spaces. Boasting a spacious interior with ample legroom to comfortably seat taller drivers, the i10 is a popular first car for new drivers and a practical choice for households looking for a handy second vehicle. Its Mk3 offers even more legroom, space for a fifth occupant and a large 252-litre capacity boot.

The Hyundai Bayon is a five-door subcompact crossover SUV, which launched in 2021. The Bayon is Hyundai’s smallest SUV in Europe. It is based on the third-generation Hyundai i20. The Bayon offers more smart technology including mild-hybrid powertrains, driver attention alert, an emergency call system, hill start assist, lane keep assist and parking sensors.

 

Launched in 2016, the Hyundai Ioniq has been billed as Hyundai’s answer to the Toyota Prius with its hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains. With its roomy interior and impressive features, the Ioniq offers excellent value for money. Its stylish silhouette, Bi-Xenon headlamps and LED taillights make it stand out from the crowd. A facelift in 2019 brought some interior and exterior style refinements and a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen.

The Hyundai i30 is a mid-sized family car, which shares its platform with the popular family hatchback, the Kia Ceed. Released in 2006, the i30 has been manufactured in various iterations including three and five-door hatchback, five-door estate and a five-door liftback. Named Car Buyer's Car of the Year in 2012, it comes with a choice of three petrol engines and two diesel engines, either with manual or automatic transmission.
