How practical is a Mercedes-Benz GLS day to day?

- With three rows of seats offering generous head and leg room for passengers even in the third row, getting comfortable on long drives won’t be a problem.
- You’ll usually find four ISOFIX points in a GLS: two on the outer seats of the second (middle) row and two on the outer seats of the third row.
- You get up to 680 litres of boot space behind the third row of seats, which can be expanded to 2,300 litres with rear seats folded.
- A commanding driving position, excellent visibility and standard air suspension, smooth out bumps and improve comfort at the wheel. Optional E-Active Body Control can further enhance ride comfort and ride stability.

From launch to latest updates
The GLS was originally known as the GL-Class but was face-lifted and renamed ‘GLS’ in 2016.
The latest Mercedes‑Benz GLS generation launched in 2019 as a completely redesigned model, with a longer wheelbase, improved interior technology, and a refined chassis.
Between 2020 and 2022 Mercedes added trims and PHEV variant (GLS 600e) to the lineup and in 2023 the model underwent a minor facelift and interior and tech upgrades for select markets.
