Supporting documents

Organisations must be able to supply the following documentation:

UK registered charities

  • A bank statement dated within the last six months with the following information shown:
    • Your organisation’s legal name.
    • The address where the statements are sent.
    • Your bank provider.
    • The account number and sort code.
    • The date the statement was issued.

Local community groups/ social enterprises and groups of organisations that are community or volunteer led

  • A bank statement dated within the last six months with the following information shown:
    • Your organisation’s legal name.
    • The address where the statements are sent.
    • Your bank provider.
    • The account number and sort code.
    • The date the statement was issued.
    • A letter of constitution or articles of association .

HINT: In the letter of constitution, we are looking for the organisation’s name, how they operate, their financials and how they benefit the community.

Community interest companies and charitable incorporated organisations

  • A bank statement dated within the last three months with the following information shown:
    • Your organisation’s legal name.
    • The address where the statements are sent.
    • Your bank provider.
    • The account number and sort code.
    • The date the statement was issued.
    • A copy of your letters of association/memorandum.

A screenshot of a mobile banking account can be accepted for any group or organisation if we can clearly see the information listed above.
