You can also get MOT and service reminders on the Arnold Clark app. If you’ve bought your car from Arnold Clark, all you need to do is download the app and create an account and you’ll get personalised reminders – so when it comes round to the time of your test, you won’t forget!

How do I book repairs?

You can contact your local branch or contact us and we can arrange an appointment for you.

Will I get a courtesy car?

It depends on availability, which means we can’t always guarantee a courtesy car at every branch. However, we also offer collection and delivery in most of our branches as well as waiting appointments. Contact us to discuss adding to your booking.

Can I change or cancel my servicing, MOT or repair appointment?

Yes, you can. Please contact us and we can arrange that for you.

MOTs

How much does an MOT test cost?

An MOT test costs £54.85 at Arnold Clark.

What is covered by an MOT test?

An MOT test covers all the components that make your vehicle work, from brakes and exhausts to steering and suspension.

What happens if my vehicle fails its MOT?

You’ll be given a failure document and advised on retest rules.

This means your vehicle doesn’t meet legal requirements and must be repaired and retested to comply with MOT test standards. Your service advisor will give you quotes for the work that needs carried out.

Can I have my MOT carried out before the due date?

Yes! You can have your MOT test carried out 28 days early without it affecting your MOT expiry date.

Servicing

What is the cost of servicing?

At Arnold Clark, we have a range of services for every vehicle.

Manufacturer servicing varies in price depending on your make and model.

With our Value Servicing, a Standard Service is £215 and a Major Service is £265.

What’s checked during a car service?

What’s checked depends on the type and level of service you require. We offer two Value Servicing options, a Standard Service and Major Service, which are both recommended for vehicles no longer covered under manufacturer warranty. You can find details of both here.

Service plans

How do I buy a service plan?

Just visit your local Arnold Clark Service department. They can arrange your plan there and then, and you can use it straight away. Find your local branch.

Alternatively, contact our Service Plan team to arrange your plan in advance of your next service or MOT by calling 0141 471 5737 or send us your details and we will arrange your plan in time for your next visit (at least 60 days before your scheduled service is due).

How many services do I have remaining on my plan?

Please contact us and we can check this for you.

Is the service plan transferable if I change my vehicle?

No, service plans are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Yes, we sell thousands of car parts and accessories from brands you know and trust. At Arnold Clark Autoparts, we have a wide range of parts to choose from.

What other cover do you provide?

You can also purchase an Autocare Warranty when you buy a vehicle from Arnold Clark or within 60 days of your purchase. This provides you with a £6,000 claim limit* and ensures that you are covered against the unexpected mechanical and electrical breakdown of key vehicle components.
