The SZ4 trim on the Mk4 has, for the most part, been the model’s entry-level option. This changed only in 2022 when the trim levels were reconfigured in line with the Vitara’s new hybrid offering.

There are three main engine options available with a Suzuki Vitara SZ4. The entry-level engine, the 1.0-litre Boosterjet, has 109bhp and 170Nm of torque. It goes from 0-62mph in 11.5 seconds. The 1.6-litre petrol engine has a five-speed manual gearbox. It uses its 120bhp and 155Nm of torque to achieve 0-62mph in 11.5 seconds.

If you’d prefer a mild hybrid Suzuki Vitara SZ4, the Boosterjet 129MHEV engine is a good option. It has 127bhp, 235Nm of torque and goes from 0-62mph in 9.5 seconds. It has a six-speed automatic gearbox.
