This is a step-by-step guide on how to book a charging sessions on the Arnold Clark Charge network.
Open the Arnold Clark app, if you've yet to download the app you can do so via the App Store or Google Playstore. If you have already, login using your details.
In app, click on the 'My Charging' tile or 'Charge' in the navigation and select 'Book a charging session' (the price per kWh is shown here) and choose which vehicle to charge.
You can choose a previous location or find one on the map.
Select charge point connector and the duration of your charge. Then choose the date and time of your charge.
After confirmation, your booked session details, will be visible on the dashboard under 'My Booked Sessions.' If you require to edit your booking, you can do so up to 30 minutes before your booking, otherwise you can cancel and re-book.
You will be assigned a charger before your charging session. This can be found under 'Current charging session'.
You can only book a charging session up to seven days in advance of the charging day/time.
Please park in your assigned charging bay as shown in the app**. You can start charging up to 10 minutes early if the bay is free. If you need any help, our friendly on-site staff are happy to assist.
Open the Arnold Clark app and select 'Start charging session'.
Pay for your charge via the app using Apple Pay or by entering your card details.***
Plug the connector into your vehicle and the charging session will start. You can view your current charging session in the app, or by scanning the QR code on the screen of the charger.
To end session, simply click on 'End charging session'*** in app or press the ‘Stop’ button on charger screen or by press the red button underneath screen and return the charger.
You can view your receipt and summary of your charging session in app.
This is a step-by-step guide on how to charge in our Pay & Go bays.
Arrive on site and park in any available Pay & Go charging bay (these are available on a first come first serve basis).
If paying via contactless, please make sure to plug-in the charger to your vehicle, then tap your payment card on the contactless reader to start a charge.
RoamingIf using a roaming provider, you can start a charge by tapping your RFID card on the charger screen or by following the roaming provider process in roaming app, then plugging in to your vehicle to start a charge.
To end a session:
- Contactless: Tap your payment method, or
- Roaming: Tap your RFID card on charger screen, or
- Press the red button located underneath the screen.
After ending the session, make sure to return the charger to its holder.
Contactless: Users can generate a receipt by scanning the QR code displayed on the charger screen or they can request a receipt here.

*Our charging network is only available to anyone who has an EV or plug-in hybrid vehicle which has a CCS or CHAdeMO connector type.
**Please note, your assigned charging bay may change, please check the app for the most up to date information.
Upon payment confirmation, a pre-authorisation will be temporarily held to ensure sufficient funds. The correct amount will be charged after your session. The pre-authorisation rate is displayed in the app.
***Your charging session will not automatically stop at the end of your booking slot. Please be mindful of others that may have booked the charger immediately after you.
