The following colours show which categories will be open when:

Category 1 – (Purple) – Accommodation aid, food and utility banks, poverty relief and equal opportunities

Category 2 – (Green) – Youth groups and clubs

Category 3 – (Orange) – Animal welfare, arts and culture, community enhancement, education training / advancement, sustainability enhancement and projects.

Need some help identifying which category or funding you should apply for? We’ve broken them all down below and added some example applications for each category to make it as easy as possible.

Please note: any application under the wrong category or for the wrong funding may be unsuccessful.

Cost-of-Living Support
Accommodation aid Shelters, women’s aid, Homelessness assistance (food or housing). Help with appliances and household bills (case by case) – for example, organisation focusses on energy bills for community.
Food and utility banks Hygiene banks, women’s aid, baby banks, food poverty, resources for refugees and asylum seekers. For example, food vouchers, pet food, food / utility packages, laundry services for those unable to.
Poverty relief and equal opportunities Disability groups and youth groups in lower income areas. For example, funding for social activities or work experience, amateur sports clubs and reduced rates, community-based trips (case by case).
Community Support
Animal welfare Pet welfare. For example, helping covering costs for pet bills, animal shelters, therapy animals (case by case).
Arts and culture Music, books, art and theatre groups looking for money for transport, resources, venue hire, and special licences at arts and culture.
Community enhancement Enhancing community, defib installation and replacements, play parks, community gardens, community galas and events.
Disability Sensory group resources, equipment and adaptations (this could be from groups or hospitals), trips for disability groups.
Education training / advancement Extra resources for a PTA, school/education fayre/gala, uniform poverty. Extra curriculum resources.
Sustainability enhancement and projects Community clean-ups, recycling programmes, urban gardening, eco-friendly initiatives.
Mental health support Local support groups, networks end events that focus on mental wellbeing support.
Relief support organisations Emergency service aid, cancer or illness support groups.
Equality and diversity Programmes that promote equal access and opportunity, address discrimination and inequality and foster community cohesion.
Youth groups and clubs Clubs like Brownies, Scouts, Guides, Sea Cadets, Cubs, amateur sports teams, dance groups and gymnastics. Cannot provide money for kits (check out our Gear Up For Sport initiative for this),but can offer financial help up to £750 for community trips, clubs costs materials, venue hire, transport.
