The CUPRA Ateca boasts the premium features expected of a sports SUV while retaining the practicality of the SEAT Ateca. Made only as a five-door, it is versatile and spacious. Lower suspension than the standard SEAT Ateca adds extra headroom to the CUPRA Ateca, while it also retains the same generous legroom in the front and rear. There is room to comfortably fit three adults in the back seats.

Boot space sits at 485 litres, higher than the Volkswagen T-Roc R’s 392 litres and similar to the CUPRA’s standard SEAT Ateca counterpart. With the rear seats folded, 2,150 litres of capacity is on offer.This is larger than the Volkswagen T-Roc R’s 1,237 litres and gives plenty of space for the transporting of large luggage. As a family car too, it’s highly practical. ISOFIX points are fitted on the two outer rear seats, enabling the easy installation of child seats.

The CUPRA goes from 0-62mph in just 4.9 seconds. This knocks competitors out of the park – it’s a second faster than fellow hot hatch, the Volkswagen Golf GTI, and dwarfs even the top-end trim of the Mini Cooper Countryman, which hits 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds.
