SEAT Arona updates and facelifts

Higher-trim pre-facelift models have a large 10.25-inch infotainment screen. On models after 2021, SEAT Aronas can come with three different screen sizes (8.25 inches, 9.2 inches or 10.25 inches), each with high-quality graphics. Post-2021 models also benefit from subtle design changes to the front bumper and interior. The SEAT Arona competes well against other compact SUVs, such as the Renault Captur, Nissan Juke and the Vauxhall Crossland. The SEAT Arona has a sportier look than its competitors, and being a compact SUV, the elevated driving position gives a commanding view of the road for a great driving experience.

Practicality and style of the car

The SEAT Arona is a compact, yet spacious SUV. The model has a boot space of 400 litres, which can be expanded to 823 litres by folding down the rear seats. These fold down easily using the levers conveniently located on the back of the seats. Thanks to its voluminous boot, there’s plenty of space for large suitcases and other bulky items.


Running costs

How a used SEAT Arona drives

A used SEAT Arona offers a range of petrol or diesel engines, so you can choose the right engine, fuel economy and performance to suit your needs.

The three-cylinder 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine is available in either a 94bhp or a 109bhp version. The 109bhp version is available with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. The 94bhp engine comes with a five-speed gearbox.

Included with some trims is the 1.5-litre TSI Evo four-cylinder petrol engine which offers 148bhp and whisks you from 0-62mph in only 8.2 seconds. This engine is great for motorway driving and has the power to make light work of steep hills.

All petrol engines have a fuel economy between 45.6 and 57.6mpg.

Pre-facelift 2021 Seat Aronas also offer diesel engine options. The 1.6-litre TDI diesel engine comes in two versions, a 94bhp or 113bhp version. Both diesel engines usually hit between 64.2 to 65.7mpg and are available in both manual and automatic transmission.

Features you can expect in a SEAT Arona

Interior

A used SEAT Arona is furnished with high-quality materials and finishes that give the interior a modern and functional look.

There are plenty of storage spaces located strategically around the cabin, to help keep the car clutter-free. In the front, you’ll find a cubby under the armrest to store items you need to get to quickly such as sunglasses. There’s also a sizable glovebox. In the rear, door bins are deep and can store items such as water bottles.

While being practical with its large boot space and storage areas, the interior of the SEAT Arona is also comfortable for both the driver and passengers. Rear passengers will find themselves with a decent amount of space even when the car is full. Higher trim levels add sportier seats, which provide greater lumber support.

The SEAT Arona is a pleasure to drive. Its suspension nicely dampens rough roads. Trims, such as the FR and FR Sport feature stiffer suspension which reduces body roll on corners, giving better control. Soundproofing means wind and road noise is also minimised, so long motorway journeys aren’t unpleasant and loud.


Technology

Mk2 trim levels come with a central infotainment touchscreen. It can display sat nav information and control car functions such as air conditioning. This screen can be either 8.25 inches 9.2 inches or 10.25 inches depending on the trim level. You can also stream music and make hands-free calls thanks to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.

All digital displays in the SEAT Arona have clear graphics that allow you to quickly access functions when driving. Some trim levels can also come with SEAT’s Digital Cockpit. It displays the speedometer, fuel gauge and other key information at a glance.

Depending on the trim, other features can include a wireless smartphone charger, heated front seats, tinted rear windows for privacy, keyless entry and climate control. Thanks to the model’s in-built roof rails, you can easily fit roof bars and a roof box to expand the Arona’s load-carrying capabilities.


Safety

The SEAT Arona achieved a full five stars on the Euro NCAP crash test. Scoring 95% and 80% on adult and child occupant protection respectively as well as 77% for vulnerable road user protection, the SEAT Arona performs well when it comes to the safety of its occupants and pedestrians.

A used SEAT Arona also includes ISOFIX points on the outer rear seats, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, front fog lights, traffic sign recognition and autonomous emergency braking. Other features include driver tiredness recognition. This detects when you are feeling fatigued and will advise you to take a break.

SEAT Arona SE

The SE trim is the entry-level trim for the SEAT Arona. It is packed with features and technology. These include an 8.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, air conditioning and keyless entry. Extra safety features include cruise control and SEAT’s tiredness recognition system.


SEAT Arona SE Technology

The SE Technology trim adds exterior and smart interior features. This enables drivers to control and access information about their car. Features of SEAT Connect include remote unlocking, emergency SOS alerts and parking alerts to help you find your car.


SEAT Arona FR

The FR trim is the sportier trim of the SEAT Arona. It adds sports seats in the front along with chrome roof rails. This trim also includes tinted rear windows, dual-zone climate control, automatic wipers and a rear spoiler. Ambient interior lighting gives you a more relaxed atmosphere when in your car. SEAT’s driver profile modes allow you to adjust the responsiveness of the engine and steering to personalise your driving experience.


SEAT Arona FR Sport

The FR Sport trim adds heated front seats, microsuede upholstery, SEAT’s Digital Cockpit and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen. It also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels to enhance the car’s sporty aesthetic.


SEAT Arona Xperience

The Xperience trim provides drivers with premium additions to enhance the driving experience. These include an auto-dimming rear view mirror and extra storage options in the central storage compartment. It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, blind spot monitoring, keyless entry, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition to help you know what the speed limits are.


SEAT Arona Xperience Lux

The Xperience Lux trim adds luxury features such as microsuede upholstery, heated front seats and 18-inch allow wheels. It also includes features to help you out when parking, including front parking sensors, park assist and rear reversing camera.
