Accounts Academy Adds up to a great career

ACCA approved

About Accounts Academy

In each of our multi-million pound branches, we rely on finance staff to support our retail operations. Hiring the best accounting talent in the market is fundamental to our success, so each year we recruit students across the country for our training scheme, the Accounts Academy.

As a Platinum Approved ACCA company, our Graduate Accountant scheme helps you complete your ACCA qualification alongside fellow and past graduates.

What you could be doing

Our Graduate Accountant programme gives you the opportunity to experience all areas of branch accounts over a three-year period, so you can gain the skills you need to become a Branch Accountant.

After starting with basic tasks like purchase ledger and credit control, you’ll move onto more technical tasks including:

  • Monthly management accounts
  • Staff management
  • Cashflow reporting
  • Budgeting
  • Profit forecasting
  • Year-end accounting

Entry requirements

After three years in our academy, you can take on the full Branch Accountant role. But before you apply, we’ll need to know you have the following:

  • Degree in Maths, Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and influence others.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
