If you're into cars and want a range of dealership mechanic experience, then this is the apprenticeship for you. At Arnold Clark, we want the best and brightest apprentices to join our workforce - we're looking for the mechanics of the future. You'll get top quality training at GTG, mentoring in your workplace and exposure to hundreds of makes and models. If you're enthusiastic, a keen learner and willing to put in the work - we want to hear from you.
You'll attend GTG for two weeks' initial training and then, at various points throughout your apprenticeship. You'll also regularly be assessed at work to make sure you're on track for success.
Work on wheels and tyres.
Complete basic servicing, including car health checks.
Work with steering and suspension.
Carry out MOT preparation.
Put theory into practice in the workplace.
Learn about electrical fault diagnostics.
Film videos of work done to build trust with customers.
Overhaul major components.
You must have gained or be working towards:
in Maths, English and a science or technical subject.
Over 90% of our apprentices are kept on in full-time employment with Arnold Clark after their apprenticeship. And your training doesn't stop there - you can then go on to become a Master Technician, a Supervisor or even a Technician Trainer yourself!
