If you’re good at working with your hands and have a mind for problem solving, this is the role for you. As an Electronic Fire & Security System apprentice, you’ll learn about the latest technology in the industry and gain the skills to install, diagnose and repair various systems. You’ll work at Assure Alarms (part of the Arnold Clark family) and get top-quality training at our GTG training centre. If you’re a hard-worker and ready for a challenge – we want to hear from you.

What you could be doing

Deal with customers in an efficient and professional manner.

Fit equipment relating to disciplines within the electronic fire and security industry.

Learn how to maintain and install fire and intruder alarm systems, access control and CCTV.

Work closely with skilled engineers and pick up new techniques.

Travel to call-outs across the UK as and when required.

Entry requirements

You must have gained or be working towards:

Scotland

National 5 & above

or
England

GCSE 4-9 & above

in Maths, English and a science or technical subject.

Progression

Over 90% of our apprentices are kept on in full-time employment with Arnold Clark after their apprenticeship. With Assure Alarms, there are amazing opportunities to continue your development and keep up to date with the latest technology and security systems. You can go on to become an Electronic Security and Fire Engineer or even go into a career of managing teams of engineers.
