Early Careers refers to a range of entry-level opportunities designed to help young people start and develop a successful career. Early careers roles are aimed at school leavers, graduates and career starters and include apprenticeships and graduate schemes. Arnold Clark offers a range of early careers opportunities including our Accountancy graduate scheme (Accounts Academy) and apprenticeships in various areas including automotive, bodyshop, customer service, electronic security systems and rental. Arnold Clark early careers programmes combine hands-on experience, structured training and ongoing support.
An early careers apprenticeship at Arnold Clark is a structured training programme that allows individuals to earn a salary while gaining hands-on experience and a recognised qualification. Designed for school leavers and career starters, our apprenticeships combine on-the-job learning with classroom study, helping young people develop industry-specific skills.
Early careers trainee jobs vary in duration depending on the qualification you’re working towards and which programme you enrol onto. For example, our Accounts Academy graduate scheme is three years, whereas apprenticeships can last between one to four years, depending on the type of apprenticeship. A graduate job is a full-time professional role designed for those who have recently completed a university degree and are ready to begin their career. These roles allow graduates to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world business environment while developing key skills through hands-on experience, structured training and on-going support.
