Audi Q2 updates and facelifts
It received a facelift in 2020, gaining some styling revisions and additional equipment. Although discontinued at the end of 2023 so that Audi could focus on more profitable models, the Q2 remains a firm family favourite, particularly for those in urban areas. It secured the highest award for ‘Excellent Production Design – Transportation’ in 2017 at the German Design Awards in Frankfurt, standing out for a design that ‘is fully independent and not just a scaled-down version of its big brother’ – the highly acclaimed Audi Q3.
Boasting exceptional craftsmanship, this determined and adventurous model comes with premium materials, advanced technology and impressive safety systems. The kit you get depends on the trim level you choose, with Technik, Sport, S Line, Black Edition and Vorsprung all available if you’re looking for a used Audi Q2. A range of engines also gives you the freedom to choose the variant that best suits your preferences and driving style. Practicality and style of the car
Whether you’re looking for a reliable SUV to get the kids to and from school, a roomy crossover suitable for holiday adventures, or a vehicle with towing capabilities, a used Audi Q2 won’t disappoint. With a towing capacity of between 1,500 to 1,700kg, this hardworking SUV is suitable for pulling small caravans or trailers and is the perfect companion for fun-loving explorers.
The Q2 also has a sizeable cabin. Despite its modest exterior, there’s plenty of room for a family, with the high roofline creating a spacious, airy feel. There’s ample stowage too, with cubbies for cups and phones, large door bins and a glovebox helping you to keep the interior clutter free. The two outer seats in the rear have ISOFIX anchor points for child seats, so if you have young passengers on board, you can be confident they’re secure.
The Q2 offers an impressive 405 litres with all seats in place, or 1,050 litres with the rear seats folded. The boot is usefully square in shape and has room for six carry-on-sized suitcases or a folded pram. Its floor can even be raised to create a completely flat load space when the seats are flipped.
If you have furry friends joining you on your travels, they’ll be easily accommodated as a dog guard will fit neatly in the boot.
The Q2 occupies insurance groups between 13 and 30 (out of 50) making it a good mid-range option. Road tax won’t break the bank either. Most Q2s will have been registered after 1 April 2017, meaning they’ll be charged under the £180 flat-rate road tax fees as opposed to the CO2-based system used previously.

ISOFIX anchor points are installed in the two rear outer seats, enabling you to carry infants and preschoolers in safety. The cabin is also spacious, with a high roofline creating plenty of headroom for all. The driver benefits from a high driving position, with multiple seat adjustment options and a steering wheel that can be moved up and down as well as in and out.
Most models get an 8.3-inch infotainment screen which can be controlled via a rotary dial on the centre console or by ‘natural language’ voice control.
