The automotive industry is about to see a seismic shift as more and more people begin to think about switching to electric.

However, when it comes to electric vehicles, we understand the issue of ‘charging’ is often the most pressing issue to discuss.

That’s why we recently opened our Arnold Clark Innovation Centre in Glasgow, a space where we hope to educate our customers about moving to electric, including answering any queries around charging EVs.

And we’re delighted to have a Wallbox Quasar on display at the centre, otherwise known as the ‘future of electric charging’.

Described as ‘revolutionary’ and ‘innovative’ by leaders in the industry, the Wallbox Quasar transforms electric vehicles into powerful energy sources.

Quasar's proprietary bidirectional technology allows you to charge and discharge your EV, converting it into an energy storage unit that can replace or add capacity to a home battery.

It's the world’s lightest and smallest direct current charger, and the only one designed for the home. With features like facial recognition and gesture control, the charger is also easy to operate.

The Quasar connects to your smart devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, or 4G, while you can schedule charging sessions to benefit from off-peak energy rates, monitor your charger status and more through the myWallbox app.

The Arnold Clark Innovation Centre, located on Dumbarton Road in Glasgow’s west end, officially opened earlier this year, with the aim of educating and explaining the benefits of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) while highlighting the great and ever-expanding line-up currently available.
